My Second Life in Another World - Chapter 295
Chapter 295: Nam-woon Doesn’t Care
“We are only three people here right now, wait for everyone to come back. If you go out there and cause a mess it will only be flipped on us since we have no evidence for attacking them,” Nam-woon said as Hee-won’s anger simmered down a little as she understood how hasty she was on top of that she knew that waiting for Haru was the better option.
“Hee-won-ssi it would be better for us to wait till Haru-ssi comes back, we can talk about this matter then,” Hyun-sung who had just gotten out of his shocked state tried to talk Hee-won out of her rash decision and it seemed to be working.
“Damn it,” Hee-won cursed as she sat down on the floor closing her eyes.
“Phew* that was unexpected,” Dok-ja sighed as he didn’t expect Hee-won to blow up like this, no that would be a lie. What he didn’t expect was Nam-woon calming someone down, The person known to not give two shits about anyone that is who he was in the novel ‘Delusional Demon Kim Nam-woon’ he was always ready for a fight and killing people, But here he was trying to calm someone down? How shocking was that?
“Was it really?” Nam-woon eyed Dok-ja.
[The character ‘Kim Nam-woon’ is suspicious of your actions.]
Dok-ja’s eyes widened a little at the message but his shock didn’t appear on his face.
“Nam-woon that would’ve been bad, thank you for stopping her,” Hyun-sung understood Hee-won’s frustration but they will have to wait till everyone is here.
“Do what you want, but don’t make trouble for me, if I had let her go I would have to answer to that Ahjussi when he comes back,” Nam-woon said with a frown as he went back to his spot and leaned on the wall lazily, he didn’t even bother with Dok-ja.
‘Haru-ssi what have you done to this guy? Is he still the same Nam-woon?’ Dok-ja was stupefied at Nam-woon’s change since it was too early.
‘It might be because he isn’t with Jung-hyeok,’ Dok-ja remembered how emo Jung-hyeok was at the start of his new rounds he wasn’t like that in every round, but it was the same in most because of his frustration of dying in the previous round which would cause him to kill people who would be potentially dangerous to him on a whim.
So it was normal that Nam-woon won’t really get to mature under Jung-hyeok during the early phases of the scenario but here he was with Haru who was sensible and level-headed, childish at times, yes but he knew when to be serious.
It made sense that Nam-woon matured a little by being with Haru, Dok-ja thought he had cracked it down. Who knows what type of face he’ll make when he realizes that the only reason Nam-woon stopped Hee-won from causing a fuss was to not get hit on the head when Haru comes back. But oh well, change is a change no matter the cause, right?
“…But this is really bad,” Hyun-sung looked at the ground with a sorrowful expression, you can already tell how bad he felt for a person he didn’t even know but this only showed how different humans were.
Some people don’t think twice about harming others but there were also people who helped others without thinking twice about it. Hyun-sung was the latter type, but he still had many things on his mind which stopped him from taking action.
Even though he could make trips to the outside and kill monsters, Even though he was getting physically stronger and tougher, he didn’t feel it. He felt weak, weaker than he was before the scenarios started.
Dok-ja decided to sit down near them taking out his phone to read the novel file to freshen his memory about the lot as the others were all in their own thoughts.
About 30 minutes later, the shutter was lifted once again and Haru came in alongside Queresha, Sang-ah, and Gil-young.
Haru noticed Dok-ja who also stood up but before either of them could speak a green blur passed by sticking to Dok-ja.
“Gil-young have you been doing well?” Dok-ja patted Gil-young’s back as the latter hugged him tightly.
“mm,” Gil-young gave a nod of affirmation, he was clearly happy that Dok-ja came back safely.
“Kim Dok-ja-ssi you’re back,” Sang-ah was also happy as Dok-ja being in danger was weighing on her mind even if she didn’t let it out. She felt partially responsible for what Myung-oh did which caused Dok-ja to be stranded on the other side of the bridge and that led to him being thrown off the bridge by Jung-hyeok.
Dok-ja smiled slightly getting a warm reception from everyone.
“So what happened here?” Haru looked at the woman who was still leaning on the wall in addition to how Hee-won and Hyun-sung were in low spirits, Well Hee-won seemed more angry than sad.
‘Well, Haru-ssi catches on quick,’ Dok-ja has decided to keep a close eye on Haru wanting to know if anything changed in the few days he wasn’t around.
Sang-ah seemed to have noticed it as well and was confused about what caused the mood to plummet like this.
“Alright let’s hear it, what happened while we were away?” Haru asked after placing the bags in his hand down on the floor.
Dok-ja nodded and retold what had happened again. Sang-ah was in disbelief at what she had heard. Queresha didn’t show much reaction to it, but everyone was used to it, in the short time they have known her it became clear that she didn’t let her emotions show on her face unless in front of Haru.
Gil-young was still clinging onto Dok-ja they weren’t sure if he even listened to what was talked about or not.
Nam-woon still didn’t give a shit about what happened, even after hearing it two times he was still laid back.
“So you knocked those three men out?” Haru asked he still looked calm and didn’t lose his cool as Dok-ja expected.
“Yes,” Dok-ja nodded.
“What about the guy who was with her? How was he killed?” Haru heard she had another man with her they joined the food gathering team together.
“Hit on the back of the head with a hammer and a lot of bruises on his face,” Dok-ja remembered seeing a bloodied hammer near the corpse of the man with his head split open.
“Fucking dumbasses they brought it upon themselves,” Nam-woon spoke without a hint of sympathy for what happened to the man and the woman.
“Nam-woon don’t talk that way,” Hee-won looked at Nam-woon not being able to listen to his words.
“What? If I am wrong why don’t you refute me? Those guys fell for that snake’s words and used their coins to increase their strength because they feared our group, then they had no coins to pay for the food and had to go with their group which is the reason why she is in that position, and they did all because they didn’t want to take free food from a Japanese, they are dumbasses you can’t change my mind,” Nam-woon scoffed as the others understood where he was coming from.
“What happened here?” Dok-ja asked Haru curiously since it looked like something big happened in the last two days.
“I’ll give you a brief summary of what happened,” Haru said.
It started yesterday morning when Haru’s group came back from outside suddenly nearly 20 people started to cause a ruckus about how everyone shouldn’t buy food from a Japanese when there is a Korean selling it as well. In-ho started to put a price on his food as well and stopped giving out free food.
It was a ploy set up by In-ho to play on the patriotism of the people present but even that didn’t do much aside from getting a few people riled up since most of the people cared about their own life right now rather than getting carried away by patriotism.
There were some people who were extremely upset with Haru just because of him being Japanese, these guys were just stubborn and In-ho used it to his advantage, using his skill to make get some more people to side with him, then after that In-ho incited people by telling them how strong Haru was.
Everyone in the station knew that Haru was strong, he was strong enough to see a monster that split buildings and come back safely without even a scratch. They don’t know how he came back but he needed to be a lot stronger than others to do that. It was a good thing that he was so strong this way he can protect people.
But that strength was only good when it is protecting them, if it is turned towards them it is bad. In-ho played on that insecurity and his skill to talk the people that came to him into using their coins. And now that they had no coins he told them to join the food gathering group if they wanted food.
The food gathering group of the In-ho group was known for their casualties but those people had no choice or they would starve. Well, in reality, they had a choice….

I always hated how he was given such a short end of the stick in ORV, definitely thought I would see more from such a figure but it was almost like the Writers didn’t put any effort into the other Constellation aside from the Korean ones (Yeah I am looking at you Goryeo’s first sword), Aside from the ones who were the main supporters of Dok-ja company(Uriel and the lot). and the antagonists like Zeus and the like.
Well, that is what they did. I am open to suggestions on this one as well. i know most of what you guys come up with will be way better than mine.
Demeter
And lastly, for now, This one, Have no idea what to call her, so go ham on this one,
I’ll probably do this a lot in the future since I will be increasing the number of Constellations and different Mythologies, Many of them will see the light of the sun in this fic unlike the original.
