When Brandon Piers emerged, Abigail was standing next to his car.
The man of refined tastes looked pale as he addressed the chubby girl, “Miss Green, weren’t you already repaid?”
“Today is Elder Piers birthday celebration at the Green residence, I missed my ride. Could you give me a lift?” The real purpose of Abigail’s visit wasn’t revealed until now.
Pullan, convinced she had ill intentions, remarked, “Our young master shouldn’t just be…”
“Fine.” For some unknown reason, the thought of the eight-day-old creature at home with eyes as peachy as those of the girl before him was simply irresistible; especially when those eyes sparkled… he barely stood to see them dim.

Pullan was stunned, finding his master’s recent relatability perplexing.
He was picking up and helping everyone and anyone.
“A good deed a day,” Brandon Piers uttered return lazily when he saw Pullan zoning out.
Pullan scratched his nose recalling Elder Piers excitedly using his cane to express his belief that their ancestors’ virtues had finally manifested when he saw his grandson. He had urged each member of the family to perform a good deed each day.
Had their young master ever obliged?
Abigail, who had prepared herself for rejection, was flabbergasted when he agreed. So much so that she hesitated as Brandon Piers got into his car.
Without skipping a beat, Abigail quickly followed him into the car.
The black sedan slowly pulled out of the parking lot, heading toward the Piers estate.
In the car.
Abigail glanced at the man sitting next to her, who put on golden-rimmed glasses to look over some files after he got in the car, which made him even more handsome and cultured. “Are you scheduling a surgery with Dr. Foster?”
“Were you following me?” Brandon Piers looked up, glancing over the chilling shades of gray reflected in the frames of his glasses that added unnecessary pressure to the situation.
Unperturbed, Abigail quipped, “With your condition, apart from Jeffrey Foster, no one else in Sincere Hospital would dare to take your case.”

Brandon Piers watched as Abigail’s unnecessarily calm eyes remained unfazed, a first amongst women he’d attempted to intimidate. “Could you?”
“Absolutely.” As she quizzically raised an eyebrow, Abigail moved her chubby face closer to Brandon’s chest, “I can see your heart, do you believe me?”
Viewing this through the rear-view mirror, Pullan, taken aback by Abigail’s sudden action, nervously swerved, narrowly missing the roadside barriers. Pullan then happened to catch his young master looking coldly at him through the rear-view mirror, and he quickly looked away.
“I don’t believe you.” Brandon Piers raised Abigail’s head with two fingers and disagreed adamantly.
“Your heart itself doesn’t have a big problem, it just needs to be sutured blindly due to its unique position, but that’s not the biggest problem…” At this point, Abigail paused, “Technically, although blind suturing is challenging, given the wealth of the Piers, there’s no reason the surgery would have been delayed till now. I guess the real issue is with your blood, you have the rare ‘Panda’ blood type, and you will need blood transfusion during the surgery, right?”
This shot the risk and difficulty of the surgery through the roof.
Brandon Piers held his pen rigidly, “Did you research me?”
And that too, quite extensively.
“Come on, I didn’t have to. All it took was seeing your heart and combining simple logical inferences. So, what do you think? Would you let me treat you?” As she finished, Abigail tilted her enticing peach-blossom eyes towards him.
“How can I trust you?” Brandon Piers just didn’t buy into her claim of being able to see inside the human body.
“Well… There’s going to be a medical tournament at Sincere Hospital in two months, which includes a heart suturing procedure. I could participate.” If Abigail was not mistaken, Brandon Piers planned to get engaged to Ruby Green in two months.
She needed Brandon to make a promise.

“Alright.” It was a while before Brandon Piers managed to utter, even though he rationally understood it to be a trick by a young lady, he couldn’t help but foster some hope in his heart.
At that moment, Pullan had parked the car, they had arrived at the Piers mansion.
